Learning Lab

The series

Learning Lab was created to make the most relevant evidence, reflections and findings generated through the Foundation’s evaluation and learning activities accessible and easy to share. The series contributes to greater transparency, more informed strategic decision-making and the development of philanthropic practice grounded in evidence and knowledge. The series comprises three types of publication:

• Evidence: ex post evaluation reports documenting the results, effects and impacts of supported interventions;
• Foresight: forward-looking studies, including needs analyses, pilot initiatives and ex ante impact evaluations, designed to inform programme development and strategic decision-making;
• Learning Insights: collaborative white papers bringing together cross-cutting learning, methodological reflections and emerging evidence.

Taken together, these publications build a shared body of knowledge, making evidence and learning available to the institutional, social and philanthropic ecosystem to inform policies and interventions aimed at creating public value and advancing the common good.
