We support local training initiatives, studies, people engaged in research and the knowledge acquired from these activities, so that the best ideas consolidate, thanks to advanced technology transfer, and become a driving force behind local development. We contribute to strengthening the training system and the competitiveness of the research system in relation to national and international opportunities.
Our work is divided into various areas of intervention.
Harnessing the value of research.

The Harnessing the Value of Research Mission, under the Planet Goal, sees support for training and research as a means of boosting the economic and social growth of the catchment area.
It collaborates with Fondazione Collegio Carlo Alberto, an auxiliary body that supports pioneering research and postgraduate training in social sciences, and develops studies in economics, political science, sociology and law.
Support for the research system
Working closely with the research lines promoted at international level, we strive to develop the competitiveness of the research system within the catchment area, by facilitating the technology transfer of results to the production system. We thus promote innovation and the creation of extensive cooperation networks, as a driving force for boosting the competitiveness of our region.
Our commitment to technology transfer from the initial stage of research to industrial application builds on the experience we have gained from major projects, such as PoC (Proof of Concept) and the vEIColo call for proposals (vEhICle), carried out in collaboration with Fondazione Cariplo and Fondazione CDP.
Working in close synergy with the Boosting Innovation Mission, we have carried out projects aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, such as Vento Venture Building, which targets aspiring young entrepreneurs, and InnoNext, with internships focused on the relationship between research and entrepreneurship. Making productive use of networking, meanwhile, is the aim of Collective Projects, an open innovation project that facilitates exchange and cross-pollination between different organisational ecosystems.
Support for local development
We believe that investment in research and training plays an important role in boosting local development. That is why we deploy instruments designed to foster a competitive system that offers the best conditions not only for research itself, but also in terms of capacity to attract and retain talent.
The actions we have taken to make productive use of the European Seal of Excellence have proved effective in creating new opportunities and represent a pathway that we will continue to follow. Deployed at local level, this model enables us to work in synergy with local bodies, such as Fondazione AI4Industry.
The academic world also plays a vital role and that is why we establish strategic collaboration agreements with the universities in Piedmont and Liguria in order to increase their competitiveness and support their continuous renewal, through programmes aimed at facilitating changes that help them achieve their goals.
