In an online event to be held 22 April 2021, the 12 accelerated start-ups will present their solutions to an audience of investors, entrepreneurs, executives and institutions.
The 2021 Techstars Smart Mobility Accelerator contest, the first start-up acceleration programme in Europe dedicated to smart mobility, organised by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo with Fondazione CRT and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, is drawing to a close.
With a three-year commitment and an investment of over nine million euros, the three partners intend to attract the best global start-ups in the field of future mobility, thereby strengthening Turin’s international standing as an international innovation hub.
The Techstars Smart Mobility Accelerator contest has brought global excellence in the field of mobility to Turin, with a particular focus on sustainability and the smart city theme. In addition to receiving seed funding, the accelerated start-ups were supported throughout their development and growth path led by the Techstars team and a selected global community of over 150 Mentors. At the same time, thanks to the network made available by the three partners in the initiative, the hosted company have been gradually integrated into Turin’s innovation ecosystem in order to establish virtuous collaborations that will allow the start-ups to settle and grow in our area.
The 13-week programme will culminate on Demo Day, 22 April 2021, at 18.00, when the results will be presented to an audience of investors, entrepreneurs, executives and institutions.
Of the 12 start-ups selected by Techstars – a leading global accelerator that has supported over 2,500 start-ups around the world – 4 are Italian, 3 British, 2 Israeli, 1 American, 1 Portuguese and 1 Latvian: Blink, Cargofive, Crispify, Deliverart, Duet, eTEU, Imperium Drive, Kedeon, Latitudo 40, Prognostic, Trailze and Wiseair. The geographical diversity goes hand in hand with the variety of industrial sectors covered, including micro-mobility, integrated logistics, fleet management, autonomous and connected mobility, air quality, industry 4.0 and earth observation.
