Once again this year, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo will be supporting several events dedicated to contemporary culture taking place in Turin in the coming months.
Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo has always considered all forms of contemporary cultural expression to be a fundamental part of its strategies to increaseTurin’s attractiveness as an expression of the historic spirit of research of the Piedmontese capital, an instrument for enhancing and renewing the urban environment.
In the context of its Culture Objective and Building Capacity to Attract Mission, the Foundation sees the cluster of contemporary languages as a way to express the identity and character of the local area. A fundamental tool for promoting the cultural offer and production of the City of Turin to increase its attractiveness and contribute to its economic, social and cultural development.
With this in mind, once again this year the Foundation will supporting initiatives dedicated to contemporary culture, contemporary art, music, design and cinema, taking place in Turin in October and November.
Working with organisations and institutions, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo is therefore extending and enriching the area’s cultural offer.
Below is a list of the events supported by the Foundation in autumn 2022, subdivided into 3 clusters:
Contemporary expressions and languages
Now in its seventh year, Graphic Days is an international visual design festival promoted in Turin since 2016 by the Print Club Torino association. In 2022, the festival will take place across the city, in 6 main locations.
The first international event held in Italy for digital animation, special effects and computer graphics. The 2022 event will take place from 16 to 21 October, online and in person.
“A World of 8 Billion Cities” is the theme of this sixth Utopian Hours event, an international city making festival organised by TorinoStratosferica.
Contemporary art and music
Italy’s leading contemporary art fair. Since its foundation in 1994, it has combined a presence in the international market with a strong focus on experimentation and research.
An exhibition providing space and opportunity for emerging artists, stimulating the attention, curiosity and interest of the wider public.
The Italian fair dedicated to emerging international art, created to promote new creative energies.
Fair dedicated to the relationships and dialogue between ancient and contemporary art, which in its 10th year will be dedicated to the theme of “he.art”, combining “heart” with the word art, which it magically contains.
The C2C Festival was born in Turin in the early 2000s. Over the past twenty years, the C2C Festival has presented some of the most adventurous developments in the avant-pop music scene. Its main challenge is to work with others who share the same vision, inspired by avant-garde and pop culture, in order to develop high quality projects.
Cinema
The Turin Film Festival has always been distinguished by its attention to new forms and new trends in cinema, becoming a key event in Italy and abroad.
The Turin Short Film Market was created to respond to the need to create a professional and international meeting place for short films in Italy as well.
The Turin Film Industry event, promoted and organised by the Turin and Piedmont Film Commission, is an important promotion, networking and marketing opportunity for the Italian audiovisual sector.
