We work on projects and initiatives focused on regenerating and strengthening local areas, by helping institutions draw up growth and sustainability plans and pro-actively launching tangible actions aimed at enhancing strategic local assets and generating value from them.
We work with institutions, communities and citizens, by means of advanced capacity-building programmes aimed at facilitating access to the support opportunities made available under regional, national and European planning.
We also take a global view, analysing trends and best practices and interacting with leading international stakeholders in the development arena, with a view to promoting and advocating regional initiatives aligned with shared objectives.
We work alongside the production system, which we see as a key player in the launch of policies geared towards the sustainable, economic development of local areas.
Our work is divided into various areas of intervention.
Local development

The Developing the Catchment Area Sustainably mission of the Planet Goal sets out a strategic framework and coordinates the Foundation’s initiatives in its role as a development agent, mobilising resources, projects and expertise to foster new pathways for revitalisation, growth and local resilience.
We promote initiatives that foster ongoing, structured dialogue with local stakeholders and, at the same time, through constant engagement with international networks, we enhance the distinctive contribution that north-western Italy can make globally.
We support institutions in co-designing and implementing sustainable development strategies for the region and remain committed – also with an eye to the post-NRRP phase – to enhancing and regenerating local strategic assets. We encourage the sharing of best practices, the development of joint initiatives, and access to regional, national and European programming opportunities.
We promote a culture of innovation and efficiency-building, supporting Public Administration Bodies and Charities in their organisational and managerial evolution, while encouraging the informed and ethical adoption of artificial intelligence and the opportunities offered by the Twin Transition.
In this context, we work to integrate energy transition and efficiency into local development policies, fostering innovation, environmental sustainability, and local competitiveness.
Through technical assistance and project support, we promote measures to reduce consumption, improve energy performance and disseminate sustainable management models, contributing to the achievement of national and European ecological transition goals.
