All children and adolescents are entitled to grow up in a safe and secure environment, protected from every form of abuse, maltreatment and exploitation.

Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, together with its Auxiliary Bodies and Società Consortile Xkè ZeroTredici, recognises this collective responsibility and strives actively to ensure that each and every area of operations is conducive to the respectful and serene development of children.

For this reason, the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo Group has adopted a Child Safeguarding Policy that not only comprises a set of rules, but also represents a veritable ethical and operational commitment. Looking ahead, the Foundation seeks to share this document with all institutions and stakeholders with which it collaborates.

In fact, our Policy establishes clear principles for the prevention of at-risk situations and for taking prompt and effective action whenever necessary.

The protection of our youngest is not a one-off action, but rather an ongoing process that involves all those who work, collaborate or interact with children in the context of activities promoted by the Foundation.

Adoption of this Policy stems from keen awareness that safeguarding the rights of children calls for the structured implementation of an agreed approach.

Accordingly, the rigorous criteria defined for the selection of suitable personnel and volunteers are accompanied by dedicated training paths, so that all those who work with children are ready and prepared to guarantee a safe and secure environment.

An accessible and reliable reporting system has also been devised, so that all concerns of any kind can be addressed in a timely and responsible manner.

Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo seeks to represent a concrete example of how organisations can and must accept responsibility for the protection of children, thus contributing to the creation of a society that is safer and more aware.
