“Our challenge is to work every day towards achieving global competitiveness and social sustainability, and creating opportunities for everyone. This is a continuation of our work, as we have already demonstrated that our actions have long been contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.” – said Francesco Profumo – “Since 2017, Compagnia di San Paolo has been promoting a Foundation model focused on education, with the aim of encouraging citizens to become more responsible and to effectively address inequalities. In order to achieve these goals, we started by focusing on three pillars: education, innovation and development. These concepts have evolved and expanded over the years. At the beginning of our journey, our focus was on the local area; today, it is on the community. Education, which is still the starting point of our projects, is a concept that has also found physical spaces in which to grow. Inspired by the UN agenda, this development has become sustainable. Social, technological and cultural innovation has also become essential when approaching finance, the organisation and the environment. The operating model has evolved with an experimental approach: in this way, we have been able to implement the necessary actions to support ideas. Today, Compagnia di San Paolo promotes modern and sustainable development.”

“Compagnia di San Paolo has neither changed its mission nor its key strategies.” – said Alberto Anfossi – “In 2020, Compagnia di San Paolo will undergo a modernisation process and its implementation capability will be expanded in line with present-day needs and the current scenario, at both local and global level. We are not afraid to admit that the challenge of sustainable development is demanding for everyone involved, and certainly for us too. However, we are confident that by adhering to the Sustainable Development Goals model, and through its work, the Company will make an even more effective, transparent and shared impact on people and in the areas in which it operates.”

Compagnia di San Paolo is the first Foundation in Italy to have adopted a new organisational model based on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a document promoted by the United Nations, which provides a list of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Achieving these goals should secure a future for society and the world we live in, promoting sustainable development for our planet and humanity.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”video-wrap”][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://vimeo.com/386960340″ align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”gallery-slider-wrap”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
