The survey began on 13 July and has been extended until 25 September.

Over the past few years, international research has begun to highlight the very close relationship between cultural participation, psychological well-being and health. A fundamental theme which Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo has decided to investigate by launching a multi-year strategic programme aimed at developing the virtuous relationship between Culture and Health in Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta.

An important and ambitious initiative that will encompass various themes and kicks off with a research project commissioned and supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and carried out by Fondazione Medicina a Misura di Donna, in collaboration with CCW – Cultural Welfare Center and DORs – Centro di documentazione per la promozione della Salute.

Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta are ahead of other regions in Italy in a variety of pioneering experiences of great interest, but these are little known and recognised and encounter difficulties in achieving continuity, sustainability and a real systemic impact. The aim of the research is specifically to identify and map experiences of cooperation between Culture, Health, Society and Education by means of a digital survey hosted by the italianonprofit.it platform to improve the well-being of people and communities. The survey was launched on 13th July and has been extended until 25 September 2020, click her to complete it.

Why take part in the survey?

The main benefits:

  • being included in the first reference framework of Culture and Health projects taking place in the territories of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta;
  • signalling the existence of individuals and/or organizations willing to be part of a multidisciplinary community, an ecosystem involving operators from the worlds of cultural, health, education and social care;
  • indicating what is needed to boost development, identifying the enabling factors to scale up pioneering projects;
  • preparing for the next round of European programming, particularly focused on crossovers, i.e. on systematic and systemic interactions between Culture and Health.

Who is the survey intended for?

The survey areas:

Culture and prevention

Projects that promote the active participation of citizens, whether or not they are suffering from illnesses, in local cultural activities aimed at well-being and prevention.

Culture, care relationship and medical humanities

Cultural intervention and training projects that influence and improve the quality of the care relationship and the biopsychosocial well-being of patients, care professionals and carers.

Culture for the humanisation of care establishments

Cultural projects (visual arts, architecture, design, music, performing arts, digital languages, etc.) that work to temporarily or permanently transform physical care establishments to humanise them and have an indirect impact on their organisational climate and on the care provided.

Wellness and care in Cultural venues

Wellness and care projects carried out in the places themselves and integrated into the programming of cultural organisations (museums, theatres, libraries, new cultural centres, etc.)

This is the start of a process in Italy to create a laboratory for experiments, research and training to be conducted between cultural, health, social-welfare and educational operators and organisations. The data provided by the survey regarding the project dimension and the individual parties involved will be protected and used for the sole purpose of the research. Take part in the survey.
