The Programme Torino e le Alpi has provided support to local organisations and institutions in order to favour access to European financing instruments needed for the Alpine areas’ economic and rural growth.
In order to enhance local skills and improve competitiveness in the Alpine territories, since 2015 Compagnia di San Paolo has issued two calls for proposals within the scope of the programme – one directed to the mountain territorial aggregates and the other dedicated to the selection of a group of consultants – with the purpose of strengthening the administrative skills and the ability for strategic planning of the Alpine local authorities. The action is addressed to the consortia of municipalities and informal territorial aggregates in the Alpine areas, which has provided the five selected territories (UC Mont Cervin, Area omogenea pinerolese, Unione Montana Alta Langa, Unione Montana Alta Val d’Ossola, Unione Montana Alta Valle Stura) with a team of experts and consultants called in to supply tutoring, accompaniment, and assistance in identifying the best possible territorial planning in order to apply for calls for proposals issued for the EC planning period 2014-2020.
Furthermore, so as to direct local authorities in accessing EU financing instruments, a series of seminars for the information and training relevant to European funds and programmes have been organised with a focus on POR FESR, POR FSE, and PSR. The videos of some of the meetings are available on the programme’s YouTube channel
