The Piedmont Pavilion

The press conference to present the exhibition is on 20th March at 11.30am at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (via Modane 16 - Turin).

The Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art, in collaboration with Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, presents an exhibition from an idea by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Director of  The Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art  and Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Chair of the eponymous foundation. The Piedmont Pavilion, curated by Marianna Vecellio, inaugurates on  7th May at COMBO Venezia (Campo dei Gesuiti, Cannaregio 4878), a place of cultural production where travellers from around the world and local citizens meet, in an informal and international context.

Artworks from the Collection at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art and the  Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection are on show, as well as items from industry and the Piedmont territory which are just as iconic, such as a 1957 Fiat 500; the probe from a self-propelled robot used for an expedition to Mars, optical instruments which anticipate the age of cinema, not to mention a fine bottle of Barolo produced by Pinot Gallizio, an artist’s project on the Truffle Fair from the ‘50s and a revolutionary expresso machine.

The Piedmont Pavilion is supported by Compagnia di San Paolo.

The press conference to present the exhibition is on 20th  March at 11.30am at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (via Modane 16 - Turin).
