SCROLL! Opening up the city

A call for creative proposals about visions, places and themes of the city.

The Ettore Fico Museum with Fondazione Contrada Torino Onlus in collaboration with the Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Turin, the City of Turin, announce a call for ideas for artistic productions to be created in the Barriera di Milano district of Turin.

The project is dedicated to unemployed under 29-year-olds who are neither graduates nor engaged in continuous study or training internships who can put forward their vision of the city or parts of it through creative productions.

In particular, what is required is a proposal that through the use of contemporary languages narrates: visual arts (painting, sculpture, graffiti, photography, video, design, etc.), performing arts (theatre, dance, circus and street art, etc.), writing (stories, poetry, etc.), music (rap, rock, songwriters, etc.), food (food design, gastronomy, etc.), parts of the City (places, spaces, objects, visions, themes) that are significant and effective for the proposers to achieve a representation / interpretation of the urban space / territory in which they live and in which they identify themselves.

The promoters of the call for proposals have provided a training course that will allow the six individuals (or groups) selected to turn their ideas into reality and then transfer them or represent them in public spaces.

The proposals must be e-mailed to by midnight on 14th  February 2019.
