YEPP (Youth Empowerment Partnership Programme), is a project promoted in 2001 by the NEF - Network of European Foundations - for the promotion of youth and the development of communities. It is based on the principle that the youth at risk of social exclusion and/or living in areas with fewer opportunities, can actively take part in local decision-making processes and produce changes in their own communities. Determining factors have been the creation of a partnership between actors belonging to different sectors (public, private, third sector), group planning, and the acquisition of knowledge and skills through exchange opportunities, on a local and international level, supported by the Centro di Risorse Internazionale YEPP IRC. At the moment, YEPP is active in 19 locations, in 8 countries; 9 are the active sites in Italy.
