The Compagnia di San Paolo focuses its efforts on behalf of restoration and enhancement of the artistic heritage relating to the so-called "Zona di Comando", a real focal point able to integrate museums, collections and residences of Savoy origin in a single complex. In the dual role of container and contents, residence and museum, the Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace) represents the centerpiece  of this layout and has received a total contribution, from the Compagnia di San Paolo, which exceeds € 26 million and which was intended both for its development - by supporting the association Amici di Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace Friends), which has lasted from the nineties to the present day – and the recovery work. The latter refers to both the building itself and specifically the piano nobile, to the ballroom and the library - with regard to the objects stored there, such as the remarkable tapestry of the Dido and Aeneas stories, made by the masters of the "Reale Manifattura di Torino” Antonio Bruno and Vittorio Demignot at the turn of the nineteenth century.

The Compagnia di San Paolo has also invested in the outbuildings of the Savoy residence - Palazzo Chiablese in the square of Piazzetta Mollino, the so-called Galleria Carlo Emanuele I, in the Palatine Gate complex leading up to the Museo di Antichità (Archaeological Museum), involved in a recent redevelopment project aimed at creating new itineraries. Special consideration should be given to the transfer of the Galleria Sabauda (Sabauda Picture Gallery) into the new wing of Palazzo Reale: a specific Memorandum of Understanding was dedicated to this in 2011, which entailed investments of around € 20 million. Finally, specific interventions have also been implemented on religious premises in the same area, namely San Lorenzo, the Cappella della Sindone and the Museo Diocesano, signifying a total amount  invested in the Polo of  30.5 million.
