Govone castle is one of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy, a heritage system part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997.

A Medieval Fortress, it owes its present Baroque shapes to the reconstruction commissioned by Counts Solaro; statues from the Reggia di Venaria were added to decorate the façade, as well as the eighteenth-century Chinese tapestries that adorn numerous rooms.

At the end of the eighteenth century the castle was chosen by Carlo Felice as the summer residence: the decorations of the interiors with spectacular frescoes and trompe-l'oeil, like those inspired by myths that decorate the hall of honour, date from that period.

Govone castle is also famous for its eighteenth-century Italian garden, where many varieties of roses and a rare species of wild tulip grow.

Compagnia di San Paolo has supported the renovation and enhancement of the Castle and strongly believes in interpreting the Savoy Residences as a system, and in the close relationship that each residence has with the territories of reference, recognising their great value in making Piedmont even more attractive.
