The City of Turin, in agreement with the most important organizations operating in the energy and environmental sector, has drawn up a plan of work to make the issue of energy sustainability a strategic factor in the competitive growth of the local system.

Central to the plan has been the creation of an Energy Center to support innovation in the eco-energy field, combining research and development, training and technology transfer to companies.

The Energy Center is a multifunctional infrastructure dedicated to research and technology transfer, strongly oriented towards the end phase of the industrial research process.

The structure is a flexible space equipped for the provision of quality services for businesses - a laboratory serving the territory, in which innovative technologies and application solutions in the energy field can be developed and tested.

The complex is also a physical place for incubation during the phases of research, testing and demonstration, in close cooperation with the Politecnico di Torino I3P incubator.

The realisation of the Energy Center has seen the involvement of the City of Turin, Politecnico di Torino, Piedmont Region, Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione CRT.

The Compagnia di San Paolo has also assisted with a total contribution of €4 million.
