Thanks to the fruitful collaboration between <strong>Azienda Ospedaliera Citt\u00e0 della Salute<\/strong> &#8211; which managed the creation of the site &#8211; <strong>Fondazione FORMA<\/strong> and <strong>Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo<\/strong>, which contributed to the purchase of the radiological equipment, the <strong>Regina Margherita<\/strong> <strong>Hospital will now be able to improve the quality of the services<\/strong> offered and welcome a greater number of young patients, making <strong>more accurate diagnoses <\/strong>and <strong>promptly starting <\/strong>the <strong>specific treatments required<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This morning\u2019s inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of the <strong>city\u2019s institutions<\/strong> along with <strong>Giovanni La Valle<\/strong>, Director General of AOU Citt\u00e0 della Salute e della Scienza di Torino, <strong>Giovanni Messori Ioli<\/strong>, Commissioner of the OIRM &#8211; Ospedale Infantile Regina Margherita, <strong>Franca Fagioli<\/strong>, Director of the Child Care and Pathology Department of the OIRM, the Chair of Fondazione FORMA <strong>Antonino Aidala<\/strong> and the Secretary General of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo <strong>Alberto Anfossi<\/strong> who said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo\u2019s commitment to technological innovation in the health arena gives priority to projects that help meet the needs of the community, by supporting interventions that have a measurable impact on the efficiency of the health system and the quality of care it provides. Between 2015 and 2019, we provided over \u20ac11.8 million of funding for this sector in the Turin area, plus a further \u20ac11 million under the Health Equipment Call for Proposals launched in 2019, which supported 15 interventions for Local Health Authorities in the Metropolitan City of Turin, the impacts of which we are starting to monitor<\/em>. <em>The completion of the Large Equipment Centre will allow the hospital to further improve the quality of the services provided and, at the same time, reach a greater number of paediatric patients, guaranteeing more accurate diagnoses and earlier treatments or interventions. This result has only been possible thanks to the synergistic action of several actors, in the belief that only joint action can multiply the efforts we make and achieve real benefits for the community and the common good\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This initiative is <strong>an important development for the Paediatric Hospital <\/strong>, which can now count on state-of-the-art equipment, including a <strong>CT<\/strong> scanner, a standard intensity and a high-intensity <strong>MRI<\/strong> scanner (<strong>3 Tesla<\/strong>) to tackle more challenging diagnoses.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo <\/strong>in particular, the purchase of the equipment was the result of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/contributi\/bando-per-attrezzature-sanitarie-2019-2020-esiti\/?noamp=mobile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> Healthcare Equipment<\/strong><strong> Call for Proposals<\/strong><\/a> and of a specific initiative launched under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/progetti\/convenzione-2020-2022-regione-piemonte-compagnia-di-san-paolo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Agreement with the Piedmont Region for the three-year period 2020-2022<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>an agreement intended specifically to contribute to technological innovation and prevention,<\/strong> in order to meet local needs in the short, medium and long term.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, <strong>FCSP<\/strong> supported to the construction of the new area of the Regina Margherita Hospital with a total contribution of <strong>over 1 million euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new site inaugurated today covers an area of <strong>470 square metres<\/strong>, divided into three spaces dedicated to the <strong>large machinery<\/strong> with an associated controls and preparation area, as well as <strong>reporting<\/strong>, <strong>examination and ultrasound rooms<\/strong>, <strong>reception areas<\/strong>, <strong>waiting
