Social Business Summit, one of the biggest social business events in the world, will be held in Turin this year, providing an opportunity to find out about and deepen knowledge of the experiences of <strong>social entrepreneurs<\/strong> and <strong>changemakers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of <strong>Turin<\/strong> as the host city of the event is not accidental. The Piedmontese capital <strong>is in fact a model of Social Impact and Social Innovation<\/strong> recognised by the European Commission for its social economy programmes and its <strong>public-private platform for social impact investing<\/strong>, which currently brings together <strong>200 local partners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The format of the 2022 summit will alternate <strong>talks<\/strong> with <strong>face-to-face discussions,<\/strong> <strong>workshops<\/strong> and <strong>events <\/strong>held to share ideas and projects. The event will therefore bring social entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives, as well as <strong>representatives of the public and private sector<\/strong>, <strong>institutional contacts<\/strong>, <strong>journalists <\/strong>and <strong>students<\/strong> to the same table with other local and international stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from the local roots in each place, the Summit pollinates, nourishes and develops the ecosystems involved, facilitating a multi-level exchange and creating synergies between the local and global levels, as well as making the most of the wealth of the stakeholders involved. A unique opportunity to <strong>create synergies<\/strong> between existing initiatives and future projects, finding inspiration and learning from the practices of small communities as well as big international initiatives, bringing together different ecosystems: <strong>local<\/strong>, <strong>national <\/strong>and <strong>global<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Co-founder of the event<\/strong> and ambassador, Professor <strong>Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Price for Peace and creator of the modern microcredit movement<\/strong>, will attend the event on Sunday, 6 November, taking part in a discussion with young men and women from the city, also attended by a delegation from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/contributi\/young-advisory-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Young Advisory Board<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of the Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The two-day event will also see the presentation of projects carried out as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/news\/young-challengers-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Young Challengers Program 2022<\/strong><\/a>, an initiative of the <strong>Grameen Creative Lab,<\/strong> founded by <strong>Professor Yunus<\/strong> and supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. The programme included a 2-month online training activity that gave the young participants an opportunity to learn how to analyse the socio-environmental problems of their communities and find sustainable solutions to tackle them.<\/p>\n<p>One of the primary objectives of the Global Social Business Summit is to contribute to the <strong>development of the territorial ecosystems of its host region<\/strong>, a goal fully shared by the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, particularly in light of the DPP 2021-2024.<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation has in fact developed its own <strong>ecosystem development<\/strong> model based <strong>on the interaction between three pillars: patient capital, delivery system and multidisciplinary skills<\/strong>. In the context of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/le-nostre-sfide\/obiettivo-pianeta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Planet Goal<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/le-nostre-sfide\/obiettivo-pianeta\/accelerare-linnovazione\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Accelerating Innovation<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 Mission, the Foundation is therefore at the forefront of efforts to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem of innovation designed to bring together multiple complementary players, including <strong>start-ups<\/strong>, investors, major corporations, government institutions, universities, incubators and accelerators.<\/p>\n<p>These efforts are being driven by the desire to strengthen <strong>Turin\u2019s strategic position as an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/news\/torino-sulla-mappa-mondiale-degli-ecosistemi-dellinnovazione\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">international hub for innovators<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Global Social Business Summit will kick off on the morning of Monday, 7 November with the opening ceremony, during which the Chair of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/en\/the-foundation\/governing-bodies\/chair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Francesco Profumo<\/strong><\/a>, is expected to speak.<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation will also be involved in a further two activities that will see <strong>Alberto Eichholzer<\/strong>, Finance Department Manager, take part in the \u201c<strong>New Financing Tools and Development Models<\/strong>\u201d panel, while the CEO of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/linksfoundation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LINKS Foundation<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Stefano Buscaglia, <\/strong>will participate in the \u201c<strong>Tech4Good a helpful tool to reach sustainable development<\/strong>\u201d
