el_class=&#8221;page-content&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;text&#8221;]The new protocol is inspired both by the <strong>2021-2024 multiannual<\/strong> <strong>planning<\/strong> <strong>document<\/strong> of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo (FCSP), which clearly defines the areas and priorities for intervention, and by the <strong>Next<\/strong> <strong>Generation<\/strong> <strong>EU<\/strong> <strong>plan<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>the PNRR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>While considering the European and Italian context, as in the past, the framework protocol is concentrated on a specific territory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith today&#8217;s signing, we confirm our focus on the city of Genoa and its municipality and inaugurate a new generation of agreements stemming from and responding to the strategic plan of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo &#8211; said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/en\/the-foundation\/governing-bodies\/chair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Francesco<\/strong> <strong>Profumo<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 The aims pursued in drawing up the agreement were three. The first is to<strong>provide<\/strong> <strong>ongoing<\/strong> <strong>balanced<\/strong> <strong>support for<\/strong> <strong>cultural<\/strong> <strong>institutions<\/strong> <strong>in the<\/strong> <strong>city<\/strong> <strong>of<\/strong> <strong>Genoa<\/strong>. The second is to enhance projects that are likely to <strong>have<\/strong> <strong>a<\/strong> <strong>major<\/strong> <strong>impact<\/strong> <strong>on<\/strong> <strong>the<\/strong> <strong> \u201c<\/strong><strong>Culture<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>People<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>Planet<\/strong><strong>\u201d sectors<\/strong>, reflecting the aims of FCSP\u2019s 2021-2024 multiannual planning document and in light of the UN\u2019s 2030 Agenda. The third, which I consider the most innovative, is to provide strategic resources to support and assist the Municipality in <strong>strengthening<\/strong> <strong>the structure<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>processes<\/strong> <strong>needed<\/strong> <strong>to<\/strong> <strong>cope<\/strong> <strong>with the<\/strong> <strong>digital<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>environmental<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>social transition<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The amount made available by the FCSP is <strong>15 million euros<\/strong>, which may be boosted <strong>to 21 million euros<\/strong>. The initial figure may in fact be supplemented by <strong>2 million euros per calendar year<\/strong> (funds awaiting allocation) to support projects intended to help the Municipality of Genoa with the digital and\/or environmental transition.<\/p>\n<p>The current framework protocol <strong>confirms the support that FCSP has always provided for this area and the fruitful collaboration between FCSP and the Municipality of Genoa<\/strong>. In fact, between 2019 and 2020 alone, FCSP allocated around 13 million euros for the development of social, educational and cultural development programmes under the previous framework protocol.<\/p>\n<p>The significant projects have included the <strong>Doge\u2019s Palace<\/strong>, the <strong>National Theatre<\/strong> and the city\u2019s other leading theatres, as well as <strong>projects to support economically and socially vulnerable people<\/strong>.
