Finding a steady job offering economic independence plays an essential role in <strong>empowering young people<\/strong> and facilitating their transition to adult life. We need to help vulnerable people gain access to high-quality education, training and employment opportunities and promote flexible, adaptable guidance pathways, by offering integrated responses to people\u2019s needs, both in terms of policies for employability and employment and in the social arena (empowerment, combating housing difficulties, strengthening real-life social networks and access to services).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row_content_no_spaces&#8221; el_class=&#8221;txt-img txt-sx row&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/12&#8243; offset=&#8221;vc_col-sm-offset-1 vc_col-xs-offset-1 vc_col-xs-10&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221; el_class=&#8221;text mb-0&#8243;]For over 20 years, we have been involved in interventions aimed at providing training and employment opportunities for people in prison or on probation. The\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.compagniadisanpaolo.it\/it\/progetti\/progetto-l-e-i-lavoro-emancipazione-inclusione\/\">LEI \u2013 Lavoro\u00a0project<\/a><\/strong>, aimed enhancing the employability of women serving custodial sentences at the \u201cLorusso e Cutugno\u201d prison in Turin is an example of this. Italy ranks among the countries with the highest differences between male and female employment rates.
