The\u00a0Reinventing Dwelling Systems and Regenerating Neighbourhoods Mission<\/strong>, reporting to the People Goal<\/a><\/strong>, is tasked with addressing conditions of\u00a0housing hardship<\/strong>, which have deteriorated since 2020.<\/p>\n

During the period\u00a02020-2024<\/strong>\u00a0the most vulnerable population groups experienced greater\u00a0difficulty in gaining access to housing and retaining it<\/strong>. These groups include\u00a0young people<\/strong>, who face disproportionately high housing costs in relation to their income; elderly people, who are becoming increasingly isolated in cities, with consequent loss of well-being, independence and social relations; homeless people<\/strong>\u00a0and people from\u00a0migrant backgrounds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces” el_class=”txt-img txt-sx row”][vc_column width=”5\/12″ offset=”vc_col-sm-offset-1 vc_col-xs-offset-1 vc_col-xs-10″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”text mb-0″]\n

All this is compounded by profound social and occupational changes<\/strong>, which are transforming not only the housing needs of growing segments of the population, but also the relationship with neighbourhoods and local areas, sometimes giving rise to new forms of sharing of spaces, time and tools.

Inclusive and affordable housing<\/h3>\n

We support the development of\u00a0 inclusive housing and housing security models and initiatives<\/strong>, by promoting\u00a0 social and collaborative housing projects<\/strong>, some of which are unprecedented at national level, such as the Community Land Trust, to meet diverse housing needs.

For\u00a0young people<\/strong>\u00a0we have established\u00a0CAP 18-35<\/a><\/strong>, a call for action to support and connect pathways to housing independence and to develop more sustainable, collaborative and inclusive solutions. For elderly people, meanwhile, we have put in place Abitare Villa Mater<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a project undertaken in conjunction with\u00a0Fondazione Ufficio Pio Ente filantropico<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0for the re-purposing of the historic villa as a collaborative residence for longevity, with rented dwelling units, communal spaces and a park open to the public \u2013 and the\u00a0Condominio Solidale Debouch\u00e9<\/a><\/strong>, which offers a model of sharing between Senior Housing and Social Custodianship.

We promote urban regeneration initiatives that integrate the\u00a0social, cultural, energy-related and environmental dimensions<\/strong>\u00a0that are essential features of any inclusive, welcoming and efficient city.
\nWe support the shift away from an approach based on single-purpose urban spaces towards a\u00a0 polycentric city<\/strong> approach, which values proximity<\/strong>\u00a0and accessibility<\/strong>.
\nWe also pay attention to planning project management costs carefully, so as to ensure the long-term sustainability and continuity of projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces” el_class=”txt-img txt-sx row”][vc_column width=”5\/12″ offset=”vc_col-sm-offset-1 vc_col-xs-offset-1 vc_col-xs-10″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”text mb-0″]We work with\u00a0the Region of Piedmont\u00a0<\/strong>to promote the development of\u00a0Commercial Clusters<\/a><\/strong>, in the form of multi-actor, multi-purpose governance platforms designed to promote local trade and regenerate the urban fabric in terms of development, innovation and inclusion.
