Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, as auctioneer of the &#8220;Cavallerizza Reale di Torino&#8221; design competition, in agreement with the University of Turin and the City of Turin and with the members of the Selection Board, announces the 6 finalists who will participate in the second phase.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alberto Lessan (Balance Architettura stp srl) &#8211; (Turin \u2013 Italy) Team Leader UNDER 40<\/li>\n<li>Adam Caruso (Caruso St John Llp) &#8211; (London \u2013 UK)<\/li>\n<li>Piero Paolo Guicciardini (Guicciardini &amp; Magni architetti) &#8211; (Florence \u2013 Italy)<\/li>\n<li>Anne Lacaton (Lacaton et Vassal Architectes) &#8211; (Montreuil \u2013 France)<\/li>\n<li>Inge Vinck (Architecten Jan de Vylder Inge Vinck) &#8211; (Gent \u2013 Belgium)<\/li>\n<li>Cino Zucchi (CZA &#8211; Cino Zucchi Architetti srl) &#8211; (Milan \u2013 Italy)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;As a commission we are happy with the outcome of the first phase of the selection and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the design groups of professionals who participated in the international competition for the restoration of Cavallerizza Reale&#8221; says Michele De Lucchi, President of the jury. &#8220;The commission had the opportunity to visit the Site of Cavallerizza and was able to appreciate the complexity of the intervention, which is looming as multidisciplinary. In fact, restoration elements are added to aspects of urban redevelopment, which will have a great social impact, involving citizens, students and tourists. This competition aims to make Turin a protagonist on an international scale on issues such as education, contemporary art and culture, also innovating the workplace. The commission was able to ascertain an articulated architectural quality and grasped the first ideas regarding the enhancement of gardens and courts. These spaces have the characteristics to become living environments with a strong cultural and naturalistic attraction.
