Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

Important milestones have been achieved over the years in terms of people’s health and well-being. Access to clean water has increased and sanitation has improved for many people. This too has contributed to reducing the incidence of particularly dangerous diseases, cutting infant mortality rates and improving average life expectancy.

Despite this, there is still a lot of work to be done: the issue of health and well-being remains central to the UN’s 2030 Agenda and the third Sustainable Development Goal is considered fundamental to lay the foundations for sustainable development.

The predominant contributors to the achievement of SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) 3 are Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo’s Culture Goal, People Goal and Planet Goal.
