We help ensure children, teenagers and young people have the opportunity to express their full potential, with solid skills and knowledge, so that they can shape their own lives from birth, on the basis of life-long learning. We recognise and promote the value of everyone involved in educational activity, so that they become the driving force behind lasting, collective cultural change, while combating educational poverty and inequality in all its forms and promoting the development of local areas and their capacity to attract. We work with families and communities to ensure that everyone has an education based on respect, sustainability and sharing.
Our work is divided into various areas of intervention.
Educating for collective development

The Educating for Collective Development Mission under the People Goal recognises education as a vital channel for promoting the well-being of under-18s and communities. We therefore value the concepts of both personal development and collective commitment in our collaboration with FCSP’s auxiliary and co-governed bodies Fondazione per la Scuola, Fondazione Ufficio Pio Ente filantropico and Consorzio Xké ZeroTredici.
We facilitate the establishment of public-private educational alliances in order to continuously consolidate the value of cooperative networking and a shared vision of education.
This enables us to share the results of our projects, propagate a transformational approach and play a role in facilitating, co-building and disseminating good practices and reference models.
Support aimed at fostering the well-being and skills of under-18s
We support projects aimed at fostering the well-being of children, adolescents and under-18s, and enhancing their cognitive, cultural, digital, social and emotional skills. The aim is to enable everyone to express their identity and aspirations freely, participate in change consciously and with critical spirit, and actively contribute to building a fairer, more sustainable future.
We undertake these activities with the involvement of a wide network of actors, including Spazio ZeroSei, a venue for children aged 0 to 6 years. The project entitled Un’estate insieme (a summer together) is aimed at a wider age group and was launched in the wake of the Covid pandemic to help re-accustom young children to socialising. Alongside the Promoting Decent Work Mission, we are issuing a Call for Action entitled Equilibri – Una sfida per le reti territoriali: lavoro delle donne e percorsi educativi di bambine e bambini (Balancing acts. A challenge for local networks: female employment and educational pathways for children), which uses early-years education as a vehicle for offering families opportunities for sharing and development.
Empowerment of adults in educational communities
Part of our work is focused on adults in educational communities, who have responsibility for care and education, including families, teachers, educators and social, cultural, sports and health workers. To support their role, we facilitate innovative approaches to empowerment, continuous updating and participation.
Through the National Fund to Combat Juvenile Educational Poverty, we support cultural and methodological development on the issue of educational poverty in early childhood and adolescence, by facilitating opportunities for sharing and exchange between actors in the educational community. Through Next Generation School we help organisations make more effective use of PNRR resources, by promoting training and capacity-building programmes for education professionals.
We support parenting, with an emphasis on at-risk or disadvantaged families and women, both through Equilibri – Una sfida per le reti territoriali: lavoro delle donne e percorsi educativi di bambine e bambini (Balancing acts. A challenge for local networks: female employment and educational pathways for children) and in collaboration with Fondazione Ufficio Pio Ente filantropico as part of the Traguardi (milestones) programme.
Empowerment and participation of adults in educational communities
We support the construction and reinforcement of competent educational ecosystems capable of operating in line with a collaborative, multi-dimensional, multi-actor, intersectional and personalised approach based on effective use of data and technologies.
By enhancing the educational quality of opportunities (formal, non-formal and informal) and by introducing new, inclusion-oriented methods, processes and contexts, we aim to reduce inequalities and juvenile educational poverty.
Città dell’Educazione (education city) is another programme of interventions aimed at early childhood, the 6-19 age group (in collaboration with Fondazione per la Scuola) and young people over the age of 16 (promoted by the Promoting Decent Work Mission). The underlying idea is that education is the driving force behind the development of individuals, communities and the places they live in.
To foster competent, integrated local alliances, we have also launched and are developing the interdisciplinary technical committee on disability, involving numerous public bodies and private-sector social organisations, to identify innovative, transformational models aimed at enabling young people with disabilities to make the transition to adulthood with the aid of support actions and pathways that also include families. The Passaggi (transitions) project is an example of this.
