Professor Franca Maino is the new Chair of the auxiliary body of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo that supports people and families in vulnerable situations or experiencing social and economic hardship in the Piedmont region.
The Management Committee of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo has appointed the new Chair of Fondazione Ufficio Pio: Professor Franca Maino, a former member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Ufficio Pio, Associate Professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan and Scientific Director of the “Percorsi di secondo welfare” Laboratory.
Professor Maino has a decidedly extensive CV, having been a member of the Members’ Assembly and Board of Directors of ActionAid Italy and of the scientific committee of many initiatives, including Alleanza contro la povertà and Fondazione Welfare Ambrosiano. The new Chair of Ufficio Pio has also worked as an advisor to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policities.
A new member of the Board of Directors was also appointed today. Valentina Battiloro is a former director of ASVAPP (Associazione per lo Sviluppo della Valutazione e l’Analisi delle Politiche Pubbliche) and head of the CAPIRe Project, which supports Italian regional councils in their work of monitoring and evaluating laws.
