The Compagnia for social work: diSportiamo, the Call for purchasing equipment for the disabled, gets under way
Torino,4 th May 2011 –Sport is not only a right that must be guaranteed as far as possible to people with disabilities too, but also a passion and move towards a healthier and fuller life.
In continuing the activity begun some time ago to favour sport for disabled people, the Compagnia has now announced the “diSportiamo” Call aimed at buying specific equipment.
Non- profit bodies and associations in Piemonte with consolidated experience of sports activities for the disabled can apply to the Compagnia for a maximum contribution of €25,000 including VAT towards the purchase of equipment such as a unicycle for wheelchairs, wheelchairs suitable for playing tennis, basketball etc.
The deadline for application is Wednesday 15th June 2011.
The same section of the site contains the new guidelines for initiatives regarding prisons, aimed at supporting various activities to improve the quality of life in prison and of convicts leaving prison. Emitted last March, these guidelines have nearly expired: Monday 16th May 2011is the last date on which applications may be received and considered.
