Juridical Research

The Compagnia is present and intends to strengthen and consolidate its action in juridical research, with particular attention to a comparative perspective that has been made increasingly necessary by the European integration processes, whose study already occupies a relevant place in the Compagnia’s activities, and by the growing awareness of the differences in the legal systems on the international scene.
A theme of primary relevance, that is being proposed as an object of study, is the relationship between national legal systems and the EC legal system, especially with reference to the adoption of the European Chart of Fundamental Rights and to the implementation by the individual states and with constitutional rank of the European Convention on Human Rights. From this point of view, it will be possible to follow, with reference to both past and future perspectives, the process of legal unification at the level of the principles that are currently in force in the countries of the European Union, but also the obstacles that are still interposed to the rise of a European “common law”.
Another direction that the interests of the Compagnia may take in the legal field is the research of adequate regulations for the new problems created by the economic dynamics and by the development of scientific and technological research, also with the purpose of contributing to a rationalization of the regulations and to their standardization on a supranational level.
