How to present a proposal
At the international level, the Compagnia has no general grant-making activity, but exclusively operates through partnerships or programmes it designs and runs directly.
In coherence with this approach, the Compagnia does not accept unsolicited applications from non Italian applicants.
The main international Compagnia’s activities include:
- - a wide-scope agreement with the German Marshall Fund of the United States, ranging from comparative analyses of American and European public opinions on international policy issues to exchanges on domestic policies and urban development players;
- - the European Fund for the Balkans - a joint initiative established with the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the King Baudouin Foundation and the Erste Stiftung aiming at supporting the formation of a new generation of servants and policy-makers in the region capable to work with European structures;
- - the Programme on Europe and Global Challenges, a call for applications for young scholars’ research projects launched in cooperation with the Volkswagen Stiftung and the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
In the Welfare Policy sector, the Compagnia is one of the partners of EPIM – European Partnership for Integration and Migration and Y.E.P.P. – Youth Empowerment Partnership Programme. A new initiative on Early Childhood issues is currently in the design phases in collaboration with other European foundations.
As for development cooperation, the Compagnia is active on two main initiatives: Fondazioni4Africa and Training for Development, a programme whose task is providing opportunities for middle-level civil servants or officers of civil society organizations intending to enrich their cultural and technical background through study tours and stages in Italy and Europe.
