New Wing of Royal Palace opens with Savoy artworks display.

The ground floor of the new wing of the Royal Palace in Turin opens this spring with an exhibition of a hundred art works from the Galleria Sabauda collections of the House of Savoy. The transfer of the Galleria into the new wing of the Palace was one of the priorities of the Museums Programme: the Compagnia sponsored the feasibility studies and the new exhibition spaces and participates in the project after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Italian Ministry in 2011. In parallel to this event the Reggia di Venaria will host an exhibition of works from the Vienna collections of Prince Eugene that were transferred to the Galleria Sabauda and that will be on display together with other paintings from international institutions.
