Africa thanks: GAT Prize awarded to Fondazioni4Africa29.01.2010 - Turin
Today, January 29th, Antonella Ricci, representative of the Compagnia di San Paolo for Fondazioni4Africa, has received the G.A.T. Prize – Africa thanks – awarded by the Association of Young Africans in Torino, represented by Albert Tchami, coordinator of the prize-giving ceremony.
Albert Tchami stated: “I learned about the Fondazioni4Africa project from an Ugandan while I was in the Ivory Coast. Really, I took a taxi, and the taxi driver started telling me about your project. That’s how I learned about Fondazioni4Africa, and today I’m here to thank those who know better what is useful for Africa and for Africans, and carry it out, helping the recipient to be involved and understand the meaning of your intervention, not just to be dependent on external help. Fondazioni4Africa is based on equality and partnership, which are the bases to create balance between who receives and who gives.”
