Promoting Stability and development in Africa: Fostering cooperation between public and private Sector

Stability and development in Africa: Fostering cooperation between public and private sector The project aims to work out how public and private sectors can collaborate and contribute to attaining sustainable development, governance and safety in sub-Saharan Africa, starting from case studies in Ethiopia, Mozambique, Nigeria and South Africa. The research is handled by IAI in collaboration with the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) in Brussels and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Washington and with participation from Centro Piemontese di Studi Africani. The project also covers the set -up of a series of events - in Turin, Brussels and Addis Abeba. The events in Turin are designed to get  public actors (MAECI, MEF, City of Turin, the UN Campus in Turin) and private ones (companies, chambers, NGOs) thinking about the opportunities of involving firms, utilities and Italian institutions in strengthening the partnership between the EU and Sub-Saharan Africa, in particular regarding energy,  infrastructure and services.
