Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione Agnelli announce the winners of the two calls for the architecture competition Torino FA Scuola.
Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione Agnelli announce the winners of the two calls for the architecture competition Torino FA Scuola in collaboration with the City of Turin and Fondazione per la Scuola di Torino.
The goal of the competition was to create groundbreaking learning areas in the following middle schools in Turin: Enrico Fermi in Piazza Giacomini (Lingotto neighbourhood), and Giovanni Pascoli in via Duchessa Jolanda (Cenisia neighbourhood ), chosen because of the typical characteristics common to many Italian school buildings.
The event is on 12th July at Camera - Centro Italiano per la Fotografia (via delle Rosine 18, Turin) and includes the following participants:
Chiara Appendino, Mayor of Turin
Andrea Gavosto, Director, Fondazione Agnelli
Francesco Profumo, Chair, Compagnia di San Paolo
Alessandro Cimenti, Chair, Fondazione per l’architettura / Torino
Mario Cucinella, architect and member of the jury for Enrico Fermi school
Cino Zucchi, architect and member of the jury for Giovanni Pascoli school
The announcement of the winners and last-stage finalists comes after work started in 2015 with the two school communities. Torino FA scuola led directors, teachers and families of the two schools to what can only be described as a genuine cultural elaboration.
