A show staged by a group of prisoners, including for the first time female inmates, at Lorusso Cutugno Prison in Turin.
From 13th March to 7th April, the bookings open for the theatrical event META’ - Meditations on the Song of Songs. A representation inspired by the themes of affectivity in prison, in particular family and marital affections, created by Claudio Montagna.
For six nights, male and female inmates enact the feelings they miss most. The poetic mediation of the biblical text "Song of Songs" takes us through the states of mind of those who, through the loneliness of imprisonment, risk returning to society "halved". A group of fifteen first-year law students play "the people" and their judgments, reasons and fears, creating a bridge with the public.
METÀ - Meditations on the Song of Songs is set up by a group of prisoners, including for the first time female inmates, at Lorusso Cutugno Prison in Turin.
The show is produced by Teatro e Società as part of the project "Theatre as a means of dialogue between inmates and the general public on the importance of affections", promoted by the Compagnia di San Paolo and operationally shared by the management, educators and guards at Lorusso Cutugno Prison and the Department of Law, University of Turin as part of the Philosophy of Law course held by Professor Claudio Sarzotti.
