The Spreading of Scientific and Technological Culture
A field in which the presence of the Compagnia has been growing over the years is the spreading of scientific and technological culture. Among the initiatives aimed at spreading scientific culture, particular relevance is taken by the support to ESOF 2010, an international forum for scientific research and communication that will take place in Torino in July 2010. Of equal significance are other initiatives of proven value, that are present in Torino and Genova.
Undoubtedly, correct information about the methods and the results of research, the potential and the prospects of development offered by technology, as well as the ethical and political problems that these imply, is of decisive importance to the growth of culture and of society in Italy. In future, therefore, these initiatives will have to be strengthened according to selective criteria that will favor quality, the innovative nature of the tools, and the ability to produce results on a constant basis, also with reference to the strengthening of local potential and, consequently, of local development processes.
